When I arrived in Miami, I thought as it was a city full of foreigns, people would be receptive. I was sadly mistaken.
The first meeting of the mothers in my son's school, was at least strange. There was something strange in the air, no one even looked in my face actually turned their backs. I think the last time I felt like this was my first day working in a multinational.
It was quite cold and offensive. There was a woman there who was sure he would have problems with it, but that's another story to tell later.
People from Latin and Central America, are very strange, do not say thank you, please and has a snobbish behavior, and this also includes Brazilian, was very difficult. But over time I got used to it and today at least people who can talk socially.
